Book review: Road To Nowhere: The rich persons always aim to be rich alone

Reviewed by: Maheen Kareem

“A room without books is like a body without a soul.” Books are the real guiders at all ages; one can find the solutions of all problems in books better than somewhere else.
“Road to No-where” is the book of John Milne, published in 1975. The great work of Mr. John Milne, teaches the readers the mindsets of illiterate rich persons that they love materials more than humans as for them wealth is much more essential than human lives.

The narration initiates from the poor village named Um Kalid, in which all are poor except Abdul Rahman. The village lacks the fundamental facilities; where one cannot find; schools, hospitals, roads and others.

The poor boy named Faisal used to think and work for the people in the village, but Abdul Rahman couldn’t allow any positive changes.
The Poor are gifted with rich hearts, unfortunately, they are deprived of other valuable materials like wealth, and on the other side, the rich have other materials but the poor maintain pure hearts as well thinking level.

Selfishness can wick everything so the same way the village (Um Kalid) was destroyed. Destruction takes place due to disunity everywhere.

Therefore, in our societies the poor are getting poorer and the rich are richer because of the unwillingness of rich men, who eagerly want to rule over them forever. They do not let the poor study and be at their level. Without any doubt, they verbally motivate, but morally they don’t support.

If the politicians and businessmen of Balochistan want, they can build libraries everywhere for the betterment of the society, but they don’t have the quality of leadership despite their high posts. It is a fact that they are afraid that real education can make our level down so they never want it to be.

By: Banadi Dost

The best selling novel, Alchemist, is written by one of the known authors Paulo Choelo who wrote several books and Alchemist is one of his best books; liked and read by most of the students.

The narration initiates with a boy named Santaigo who saw a treasure in his dream. Then, he went a dream translator, woman; the woman said that the treasure is in Cairo Egypt in a Church.

He with the passion committed that he would find the treasure, so he started his journey. Further, he met an English man who was looking for a man named Alchemist. They both went towards a desert with a caravan. In the desert, Santiago faced a lot of problems as many times he was attacked by robbers, despite facing hardships, he reached the place and found the treasure.

The masterpiece teaches the best lesson, and can inspire one to be like the main character, Santiago in order to fulfil the desires.

Life is a tough race; everyone is running only to win. The winners are only getting famous and valued. There is no place place for the losers. If one wants to do something, wishes to complete the dreams and wants to find the treasure of life, then one must not give up. Hardships are part of our lives and we should fight against them for the sake of a comfortable life. So, we really get whatever we want.

To wind up, I like the author very much because he has managed the ideas in such a brilliant way, I did not get time to yawn for a while while I was reading it.

Rashid Deedar: a unique poet of Balochistan

By: Sattar Samad

BALOCHISTAN is the only province of Pakistan where you find unique personalities who brought a huge change for Balochistan. Balochistan is full of talents if someone examines and may see poets, singers, dancers, vloggers, artists, etc. Today I will talk about a literary young talented poet whose name is Rashid Deedar. He is a brilliant poet and a writer of the Balochi language.

He astonished everyone through his brilliant writing. He always spends time for the nation through his write-ups. Rashid Deedar is considered one of the best writers and poets by legendary personalities of Pakistan. However, it is unfortunate for the Baloch nation that he is a victim of drugs and a huge loss for us. He could often be seen in dirty clothes, uncombed hair, and unclean beards on the streets of Balochistan, especially in Turbat.

He is the only one who fascinated millions of people around the world by his worth-reading pieces. He brought ornaments to this poem to convince the readers that they should come and support the Balochi language. But unfortunately, he is spending his precious life on the different streets of Turbat city and his recent circumstances hurt the people to be seen.

Moreover, when he appears people often call him druggy, beggar and mentally unstable. People always neglect his outlook personality. The fact is that he is a real hero for us. After a lot of struggle, efforts, and hard work Deedar finally managed to publish his Balochi poetry collection called, “Don’t Fall in Love with a Human being”. It is our weakness, we neglect the importance of such talents who are the treasure for us and for our nation to give value to their poems in our culture.

It is the love of Deedar to write Balochi and his passion for the nation is appreciated. His poems encouraged many youths of Balochistan who want to be good writers for the Balochi language. Furthermore, he also wrote Urdu poems which are too famous and many often listen to them. Many people across Pakistan when they meet Rashid Deedar on the streets will be compelled to listen to the soothing voice of him.

The readers and listeners should pay serious attention to his poems because he deserves to be read. It is our duty to support Rashid Deedar and must survive a long period of life which again brings changes for the Balochi language. He requires medical treatment and resources to keep practicing what he does before. He must be admitted immediately and make sure his work reaches the Balochi language.

Review: The Broken Wings: An Enchanting Love Story Of The Author

By: Shadri Noor Mahmmad

The Broken Wings, is the masterpiece of a Lebanon author, philosopher, artist as well as poet, Khalil Jibran, published in 1912. No doubt, he is one of the most readable authors of the twentieth century by both; Eastern and Western cultures alike. Among his 17 books, the best are: The Broken Wings, The Prophet and The Madman.

The love, which begins at the age age of eighteen, is full of emotions, madness, and craze. With the same age, Khalil Jibran meets his soulmate, Selma Karamy, at her home with the introduction of each other.

Love is fearless, after the first arrangement, love knocks the door of both hearts crazily. Unfortunately, true love stories usually have evil endings, and the girls have been sold as other materials to the landlords, businessmen and wealthyalth men; even without enquiries of their longings. Selma Karamy’s hand was handed to the greedy man, Mansoor.
The heavy sky falls on Jibran after the worst news. Girls, mostly sacrifice their each and everything for guardians, as keeping the respect of her father, Selma swims in the deep and dangerous ocean of silence; bears the cruelties of a stranger.Dying, with a moment is much better than dying daily, but on the next hand, hope keeps one alive for the sake of dreamed craves: waiting for the accomplishments. Selma and Jibran, both waited until their wings broke.

However, being a girl; living with such narrow minded persons, with no humanity, is not less than living in hell. The social issues of the time including; religious beliefs, corruption the rise of prominent and equality towards girls, are the alarming cause of suicide in any society. Following some odd religious and cultural norms are misery for children, especially for girls in Islamic countries.

Thus, I do appreciate the author for narrating his own love story with full emotions. The way he narrates the novel, deserves a must read.

Poor Education System In Balochistan

By: Muhammad Naseem

Getting education is the fundamental right of every child born in the world, for education is the most essential need of this modern era. No nation can get the achievement of progress and success without educating its citizens in science and technology. The most successful nations of the world have advanced much in technology through education.

Balochistan, which is largest in size and smallest in population, has been neglected since the independence of Pakistan in every sector. It lags far behind for education from other provinces of Pakistan. There is a dismal state of education in Balochistan and the state of education is the worst in the province.

About 40% of children do not go to school in Balochistan that means 40% of the children are growing up without getting Education in Balochistan. The number of out of school children in the province is 11,58,291 according to statistics of Balochistan education department. The data further mentioned that 531,371 students have been studying in private schools across the province. Similarly, the number of students studying in Madaris is 103,305. The education department revealed that the number of ghost and non-functional schools across Balochistan is over 3,200.

Not only the province faces a dire lack of educational facilities, but other problems such as lack of health care facilities, lack of sanitation areas and no access to clean drinking water are the leading issues making life in the province miserable.

The past leadership promised to provide schools to children but those were mostly words, not actions. No funds were given building more schools and bringing in more teachers. It is estimated that around 12,000 primary, middle and high schools are available across the province with 56,000 teachers. But around 3000 schools are not functioning in a good manner and most of them are closed.

The Balochistan government has declared education as compulsory and free for children. The government has also declared the implementation of article 25-A of the constitution to ensure the provision of education to children of the province.
For the provincial government, actions must match their words when it comes to the implementation of their announcements. The education budget needs to be increased and newly recruited, teachers should be preferably posted in non-functional schools to make them functional.

A comprehensive strategy should be evolved to enroll all out of school children in school to make them better citizens.

Balochi handcrafts are sections of subculture and livelihood

By: Muhammad Amin

BALOCHI embroidery has been the most indispensable area of Baloch way of lifestyles for years, however, now it has come to be more of a livelihood than a culture and hundreds of people, specially women are concerned in it. But is Balochi embroidery a profitable business?

Some Baloch women no longer sew and embroider themselves, however they take the clothes of one-of-a-benevolent women and supply them to other douchebags for stitching and embroidering and then get revenue from there. Such females live in Karachi, Oman, Iran and different areas where Baloch females live. Suits are taken on contract and then rented out to Makran’s compelled cars. If an expert lady can at once get proper of ingression to the clients, this can genuinely come to be a remuneratively profitable enterprise for lady promotion of their labor at low prices.

Balochi weaving is a specialist job for ladies from rearward areas. In the rural areas of Balochistan, as coaching possibilities for ladies are constrained and in many areas inculcation possibilities for girls are now not available. Consequently, the females of these areas look up this facility in childhood and earn thirty to forty thousands per month via sitting at home.

In areas with tribal customs where Baloch females sometimes peregrinate away their homes, ladies are economically steady via a way of gaining knowledge of this adeptness.

Name some well-kenned Balochi douches

Balochi douches supplementally have unique and extraordinary names and each douche is different and the charge is different. Douch attributed to the macrocosmic singer of Balochi language “Arif-i-Chadar”, as a result attributed to a nationalist celebration National Party “National Party, Banuk Karima, without Jalar, Kapuk, Talmal Sach, Jusik-i-Jalwaah, Apsar-i-Zayd. And in integration to them, there are many well-kenned douches. Which have one-of-a-kind rates.

Balochi embroidery is a consequential section of Baloch culture.

Balochi embroidery has been an quintessential part of Baloch subculture in view that time immemorial, Balochi girls highlight their way of life round the world with the aid of creating exclusive designs and special designs on their habiliments and they supplementally get paid congruously for their designs.

Balochi embroidery is a facility cognate with Baloch culture that used to be invented centuries in the past with the aid of utilizing Baloch women, who exploit brilliant needles to engender patterns on cloth that are mind-boggling because of the slightest mistake in Balochi embroidery. It has to be consummated again.

Where are Balochi embroidered fits worn?

The injunctive authorization for Balochi embroidery is usually among Makrans and Awarans as most of the dochgar girls belong to Makrans and Awarans. The injunctive authorization for Balochi embroidery is no longer solely in Balochistan and Sindh, alternatively Baloch lady dwelling in Iran and the Gulf global locations love to put on habiliments embellished with Balochi embroidery. Today, in Europe, the Balochi Dooch motifs are worn with zealousness.

How is Balochi anxious done?

According to Baloch women, Balochi embroidery is an laborious and luxurious craft, as a facile first-rate needle is utilized to engender patterns on the cloth with the avail of threading it. Customarily a dyad of material is yare after a month to forty 5 days of tensioning and the prices are one-of-a-kind for every design. Most of the girls do this work sitting at home and some women embroider only for themselves and their ladies to wear and most of them get paid via carving on the garb of other women.

In Balochi embroidery, the fabric is woven upside down. Different molds are made with it, which are filled with colourful threads and have one-of-a-kind designs which are unique.

Makran is the fundamental core of Balochi tension

Makran is a division consisting of Kech, Gwadar and Panjgur in three districts. The region ninety-nine percent of are Baloch people and all the girls right here put on habiliments with Balochi embroidery.

In Makran, you will discover females who are no longer solely going for walks their houses via doing Balochi embroidery, on the other hand adscititious earning forty to 50 thousands rupees per month with the avail of doing douch sitting at home, no longer only availing their husbands, however supplementally getting to apperceive the artwork of douch. Adscititious edifying their youngsters in specific colleges and universities of the country.

Balochi anxiety threatened through way of mechanical shower

Baloch girls sew and embroider via hand and it takes countless months to make a swimsuit whereas in laptop embroidery it takes two to three days. Machine embroidery is engendered in a great deal much less time and much less price whereas hand embroidery takes greater time and mazuma. Since Balochi embroidery is consummated through betokens of ladies and computing contrivance embroidery is carried out with the aid of men who earn greater than women. While the incipient adumbration of the computing contrivance bathe in the market can have an effect on the Balochi strain, with the transmuting times, the Balochi stress is threatened by using the computer shower.

What has to be done for the Baloch Dochgar women so that they can categorize their work often and be in a position to distribute it to the whole world? Factories are constructed where we can get money for our labor and adequate work wants to be taken from us so that we can take care of our home and youth in the equal way as we do these days and in these factories when hundreds of women collaborate. Then the work will be done easily and expeditiously.

But it needs to be preserved in thinking that we Baloch cull our very personal garments and its size, so for the fickleness of work of Baloch douchgar girls and to culminate the work expeditiously and to furnish Balochi douch to the whole world. And these who are no longer Baloch people, but Baloch human beings continue to be in each and every nook of the world, different countries supplementally like our resplendent embroidery, so clothier fits need to withal be engendered in factories so that we can make Balochi dooch on them supplementally. And our puerile girls ought to be given mundane inculcation to enhance their innate perspicacity and make an identity for themselves in the world of fashion.

BOOK TIME: ‘How to stop worrying and start living’ a self-guided book

Reviewer: Tabish Feroz

“Among those three points, the most effective and affective one I found is “Get The Fact” in which Dale elaborates, unless and until we have the fact, we can’t remedy our troubles intellectually. Without the fact, all we can do is to put ourselves in confusion and nothing else and confusion is the chief cause of worry. So, get the fact before solving out any problem.”

“How to stop worrying and start living” is a book authored by Dale Carnegie. He is an American writer and lecturer, he has authoured many books such as “How to influence people and win friends, How to enjoy your life and job” and so forth.

The book was published in 1948. It was first printed in great Britain by Richard Clay. The author provided 30 chapters with 321 pages; the major aim of author writing this book is to advise people how to redress their menaces in their lives.

Mostly people in the world make up their minds that they can solve their worrying problems by a magic formula which is an incorrect perception of the people according to Dale Carnegie and then he suggested people to sacrifice themselves to deal any f**king problems by learning the following three steps: Get The Fact, Analyse The Fact and Arrive At A Decision Then Act On That Decision.

Among those three points, the most effective and affective one I found is “Get The Fact” in which Dale elaborates, unless and until we have the fact, we can’t remedy our troubles intellectually. Without the fact, all we can do is to put ourselves in confusion and nothing else and confusion is the chief cause of worry. So, get the fact before solving out any problem.

Ahead he explained that if you don’t want to become worry about your problem, then have a good time at your work, if you enjoy what you are doing, you may work for long hours and he believes that our life is what our thoughts make it. If we think about happy thoughts, we will be happy, if we think about fear thoughts, we will be fearful indeed, in the same way, if we become worry about our problems then we will be worry to find out the solution of our created problems.

Later, he states worrying caused people to commit unconscious acts and decisions which further harm them more than their spawned problems. To looking at this, the author suggests to check the solution for more than four times whether or not the solution is going to benefit and if found beneficial results, head towards and achieve them.

Dale raised two significant questions in ‘How to stop worrying and start living’ which sound like, “Are we making our work harder it actually is?” The second question is, “Am I using my muscles that have nothing to do the work, am I doing?” These two questions are helpful if one finds the answers of each and might help him/her to find relaxation. So, he left these two questions upon his readers to find out the answers and try them practically.

After giving this book a read, I learned various tips to solve my worrying problems as well I also found one important information, if we become worry about our problems, we can’t find the solution of our problem. Therefore, it is better to make ourselves ready to compete kind of f**king problems. The main purpose of this book is to never get worried about your problems in your life, and remember that always get the facts which assists you to get solved your problems easily.

Lastly, I recommend this book to those who are in fear of their life and cannot solve their unwanted problems, so read this book once, you will be able to solve your problems easily.

Article time: Sui Gas In Balochistan

By: Sana Samad

Balochistan is the backbone of Pakistan, as Balochistan is full of natural resources. Natural gas is also giving many advantages to the citizens of Pakistan. Natural gas was discovered at Sui gas field in 1952 and by 1955 and being supplied in different cities of the country. Today Sui gas is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy, located in Dera Bugti.

Unfortunately Balochistan is the most backward province and Dera Bugti is the most undeveloped part of the province.

The saddening news is that still many places of Balochistan are without Sui gas. The first provinces were Punjab and Sindh, who were being supplied Sui gas. After 60 years only 14 towns of Balochistan are enjoying supply from this gas to date. Otherwise the town Sui, itself does not have gas, which is only 4 miles away from the gas discovery city. The people are compelled to use wood and coal as fuel and are facing many problems.

Even though the capital Quetta received gas supply as late as 1970. Then in 1990, Hub also got gas supply because it is full of industries. But most of the cities of Balochistan are deprived of Sui gas and no one is interested in providing it to the areas of Balochistan and allow the citizens to enjoy Sui gas.

The half of Balochistan population is living below poverty and deprived from their basic needs. The rich people can manage themselves, by not having Sui gas. Unfortunately the poor cannot afford to eat three times as much food, how can they manage themselves? With the passage of time, the poverty line is increasing and creating more trouble for the citizens. It is unfortunate that the provincial government is not focusing on ensuring more widespread gas supply in Balochistan.

The discovered natural resources must first benefit the province, where it has been discovered. It is totally inverse, as others are getting full advantages of it. And many urban and rural areas of Balochistan have failed to get Sui gas. The remote areas of Punjab have been getting Sui gas since the discovery of it. The provincial government of Balochistan has never ensured Sui gas supply in the urban and rural areas of Balochistan.

Not only that, only 10 percent of the population of Balochistan is enjoying gas supply, while the rest of the province is deprived from this beneficial thing. These days many promises are being made for the development of Gwadar. The saddening news is that Gwadar is facing many problems including clean water and Sui gas. Due to not having a supply of Sui gas the people are forced to buy wood, coal and petrol to meet their fuel needs. The people of Gwadar have also expressed sadness about the supply of gas.

Pakistan’s most developing project (CPEC) is also present in Gwadar. Our leaders have promised that CPEC is full of advantages for Gwadar and Pakistan. It will bring a vital change for the people of Gwadar. But we have not seen anything or any changes occurring in Gwadar, still people’s lives are totally disturbed. If the government wants the benefit of Gwadar, Gwadar must be provided Sui gas, which is a huge problem occurring in Gwadar.

Today Balochistan is going toward backwardness because Balochistan is not getting any benefits from its own natural resources. It is the responsibility of the government and concerned authorities to give equal rights to the poor people of Balochistan. The concerned authorities should provide supply of gas and other facilities throughout Balochistan so that the people could get full advantages and live calmly and peacefully.

Blog Time: Sadiq KB, a legendary man for the inhabitants of Kallag

By: Muneeb Maqsood,

Kallag, a village in Kech district, used to be one of the most backward villages in Kech in terms of standard education. Instead of providing education to the youth of Kallag, the residents favored to send their youth to work places as a source of income and working in various workplaces diverted the youth of Kallag away from education. Seeing the deplorable condition of Kallag, a legendary man named “Sadiq KB” belonging to the same village stepped ahead to show the youth, right way forward and turned the imagination of the villagers toward education and its benefits. He completely revamped the education system of his village.

He contributed a lot to the village and demonstrated a bright future to the villagers and spawned an atmosphere of reading environment in his small village. He educated the illiterate, made the ignorant kind and the arrogant dignified.

However, books, indeed, fill an empty mind with great knowledge and make anyone a different and mature person, this beautiful soul thought of rekindling a reading circle where the people of Kallag would present books. So, first he began the circle with himself, sharing a book, he invited all the villagers to join the circle. Begining, very few people joined him, but by doing this daily, the book sharing craze caught on among the villagers and now teenagers to adults share books in the circle every week. It was a wonderful feat done by Sadiq KB.

Additionally, in this difficult situation of Balochistan, it is very difficult to promote the educational culture to women, especially in the villages where most of the women are confined in cages, but this hero confronted innumerable challenges and eventually has given the freedom of getting education to the women of his village. With a little contribution, he built a girls’ library for the girls of his village where they too could get free educational books.

Looking at the struggle of Sadiq KB, some rich people from Kallag admired and assisted him in shape of educational facilities.

Eventually, neither the politicians assisted nor outsiders, I can say, it is all his efforts behind of a successful educational environment in Kallag. At present, there are two libraries in Kallag, one for females and the other for males and both genders are given equal rights only because of this person. Kallag has completely transformed into a great village and we should also step ahead to promote education in our society like Sadiq KB.
