Pasni is the tehsil of district Gwadar and its students are facing difficulties to study comfortably. Moreover, a library is the place where students study without any disturbance and do their assignment in a good manner. But unfortunately, they are suffering from several problems including nonavailability of electricity.
In a day, just four hours the electricity is being provided but in these hours how students can be able to do their assignment. It becomes the major issue of our library that the students cannot stay in it, due to warmness for two/three hours regularly. It is requested to the government of Balochistan to help students and give them electricity and they should not be disturbed while studying.
Today’s world needs new invention in education because it has a big sector of someone’s life. But unfortunately, Balochistan text board Quetta is not changing the course books of FA and FSc which are outdated. In these course books, there are many units or chapters which are out of the interest of students’ minds. Being the student of F.A, I have observed that the outdated units are useless and no need in modern world. I plea to the Balochistan text board members that change the course books of FA and FSc as soon possible.
Women’s education contributes to the overall development and progress of our country. Women play a vital role in our lives. A society lacks behind if its women weep silently. An educated woman can build a better environment for the family members.
Women play significant role in a society in shape of a wife, a mother and a sister. Educated women support to reduce corruption and change the condition that lead to terrorism.
Some measure must be taken to empower women so that they can contribute to all spheres of our nation.
First of all, importance should be given to educated families. Both female and male children should have equal opportunities. It is said that education is the backbone of a nation if the women are educated, they will be able to get involved in income generating activities.
My grandfather is very old, He is my gold, He is quite tall, But he never makes a mistake, My grandparents love me a lot, And he always shares stories for my entertainment.
The citizens of Balochistan are deprived of their indispensable rights. There are various cities and villages of Balochistan which are highly suffering from necessities. However, Tijaban, one of the smallest towns of Balochistan, is suffering in every inch underprivileged of primary rights. The habitants of Tijaban are suffering in hot water and they are compelled to move toward Turbat city for fulfilling their longings. The constituent facilities are available but they are not functioning well. Apart from these, it is lacking hospital and because of the non-availability of hospitals, the residents are suffering from multiple diseases. They are losing their precious lives. The concerned authorities should solve this sensitive issue and equip the fundamental necessities to the people of Tijaban.
Pakistan has a faulty educational system. The growing number of dropouts and the short-sightedness of education policies are two of the common problems being faced by this sector. It is estimated that only six to eight percent of students reach at university level. The newly added ‘national curriculum’ adds to the questions of the system. In spite of all these troubling impediments, education has never been a high priority in our government’s policy. However, the greatest among the challenges of education system is the the language dilemma.
As Pakistan has a rich diversity of languages and dialects – which change in the country after every 20 kilometers. But very few of them find their way into the formal education system. Language policies never allow a regional language to be understood by children to enter into the field of education, which explains why the system recedes. According to UNESCO, 40% of children do not have access to education in a language they understand. The situation in Pakistan is similar; children in most fields are taught in an unknown language that they do not understand. These policies affect children at the grass roots, so the illiteracy rate in the country goes at its peak.
According to Zubida Mustafa, a writer, freelance journalist and a domain pioneer, the child’s learning process begins until the child is born and is automatically in the mother tongue. For example, when a child moves out of school, there is a vocabulary collection of 300 words. So everything stops learning rather than thinking critically, adds Miss Mustafa.
She further says that language has two uses in education: either a teaching tool or as a second language. The last use of the language is acceptable if there are no linguistics for a child in the first years is his native language. The native language, as an instructional medium, has two advantages: first, it keeps the child rooted in his culture and then it gives them a feeling of security. But our governmental policies have long ceased to trace the children.
In Pakistan, public schools have an Urdu-base instruction medium while private schools have English for that purpose. But Urdu, along with English, has failed as a mean of education in Pakistan. However, a lot of people claim that children in the country know Urdu very well – through smartphones and excessively watching Bollywood movies and other TV shows. But this account is mere a propaganda; children need something better than Bollywood and the media because they are not included in formal education.
Furthermore, linguistic barriers mean that despite the years of schooling, many students remain illiterate. This happens because the students’ turnouts decrease since they do not understand the language in which they are taught. They do not question, drag back in the presentation and copy paste the homework when they are educated in a mysterious language. Their performances descend and stay primitive and unproductive.
Balochistan is also the hardest-hit province in this respect. Since the government does not understand the role of language in developing education. They have chosen to ignore Balochi, Brahvi and many other languages which persist in Balochistan. Children in the province cannot access to literacy skills in their first language. It was a paradox that made education difficult for them. As such, abandonment rates have been high in the province. In addition, numerous languages from Balochistan are at stake. Brahavi can be revived if they are brought to the education sector.
The government, therefore, has to recognize the role of language in the educational system. The decision-making body should rely on well-known linguists and academics to address this tragic problem. At the same time, we need researches and public discourses about language in education.
Recently, the women protested on the avenue of Awaran for getting their rights. Truthfully, they said that district Awaran is much fewer opportunities such as sea, diesel work and only being a farmer’s is accessible other nothing. They stated that they all have bought Zamyad vehicles for the border and earlier they have been allowed but at present time they are restrained to work. The concerned authorities of Balochistan must allow them for the diesel work and I hope the Chief Minister of Balochistan will resolve their problem who is basically from Awaran.
Turbat has one teaching hospital but nonavailability of a burn center. Several incidents of gas cylinder occur in Turbat and a large number of the victims from these incidents lose their lives. We always remember the deadly incidents of 2018 occured in Shapuk and Near Park Hotel Turbat respectively where several people including man, women and children were burnt to death. Burn center has been a genuine demand of the people of Turbat as they have always suffered much due to lack of burn center. If government can’t afford to establish a burn center separately, at least it can establish a burn unit within the DHQ hospital Turbat for timely treatment of victims of gas cylinders or other fire incidents to save their lives. Therefore, I request the government of Balochistan specifically the health minister of Balochistan Syed Ehsan Shah who also belongs to Turbat to take serious measures in this regard on immediate basis.
Recently, NGO reported that eight children are abused everyday in Pakistan averagely. Among them, 51pc girls are abused while 49pc boys. If we go for collections of all cases of the report: 985 cases were sodomy cases and 787 were rape cases and the innocents children were killed too. However, these all cases are happening because of poverty, unemployment, and bad societies. The first education where every human being get is home. The only solution to curb these evils is education. The majority cases are occurring behind closed doors, parents think that fighting in close boundaries doesn’t affect their children but that’s the fact that arguments, fights and violence between parents or caregivers affects children whether it’s done in plan sight or not. Boys become aggressive and can develop a dependence on alcohol and drugs to counter their issues while girls usually become withdrawn and can suffer from anxiety, depression and eating disorders .Thus, it is time to provide awareness that violence cannot be accepted at any cost.
