Poetry: Fear to dream!

By: Sana Samad

I dreamt, once, when all in file,
To have the merriest faces, ever, all around,
A moment to have my beloveds proud,
Someday!
When I’ve all earned the respect,
My parents, and of the society!
In-between, I was lost, maybe, unbeknownst of everything,
When I’d my eyes opened,
I glanced my shadow,
Dwelling in fear!
My feet ceased to move ahead,
When, where and how?
Questions arose deep inside me,
Begetting depression, and waves of confusion,
I was yet to ponder,
For, I knew I was lost,
In thy world, my dream!
I am afraid, again, but,
From myself, now!
