Balgater is a giant area in terms of population and land in Kech district. It had a thick population out of which 9.5% people were left uneducated in the past. People back then paid no heed to education and neither did they ask for it. However, today in the modern age, the scenario and time have changed, but unfortunately, the same policy towards the area is utilized even now with intensity. Government still seems not fixing the town’s educational woes. Despite the fact that acquiring education is the only way which can lead a nation to the brightest and highest bottom of the peak, the inhabitants of Balgater cry for a proper education set-up. It is, on the other hand, the fundamental right of every citizen to achieve education as it is believed to be the mere source to escape corruption, making lethal culture and so forth.
Balgater has been completely deprived from getting its basic rights amidst covering a great portion of Kech district. It is also wholly backward, but who to put glance over it? Who to ask for the grievances of the town? Who to solve the local issues? Due to a no-education from the word go, most families of Balgater are yet unaware of the importance of education in a person’s life in this growing age. Had they ever been to schools themselves, they could guide their children with the significance of education today.
In contrary, many parents in the town believe that it is better their children have sheep, cows, camels, goats and fields so that they may pass decent lives. But they are not aware of the bright side of education. Due to this major problem, they have imposed some decisions on their children which have been eradicating their lives and society.
On the other hand, there are a few parents who know the value of education now, since they have been passing miserable lives. So, they want their children to attain a quality education so that they may not pass pity lives like them in their future. Sadly, they cannot afford to send their children to other cities for an education, and here one cannot see good schools where one can get good education. If there ever exists a school, it would have shortage of teachers and other facilities. In the entire Balgater, we can only find five primary schools and a high school; four of the five primary schools have no shelter.
Tejaban is the Union Council (UC) of Balgater which is smaller than Balgater in term of population; it is 80 kilometers away from the town. To be very fair, Balgater itself deserves to be a Union Council. Since whatever funds are there for Balgater, they are not being given to it by its UC. Therefore, the youth of Balgater are showing more interests towards using drugs. At every home, one finds two or more than two members using drugs which portrays the destruction of the town. If there is no any prevention of it, Balgater will completely be in its corner in upcoming days. Now government of Balochistan must show sympathy towards the town and solve the issues in order to save it from falling prey to being ruined.
