Letter: Dasht Balnagwar lacks doctors

Author: Sajid KB (Dasht)

Dasht Balnagwar is the Tehsil of Kech district with an abundant population but the people of Dasht do not have health facilities and there are no doctors to treat the people.

Moreover, Dasht Balnagwar takes two hours to reach in Turbat because it doesn’t have proper roads in case a patient gets serious, he will be brought to Turbat city hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, many patients had demised on the way.

Additionally, there are two or three doctors but they don’t give duty and they just take their salary. The affluent people can go to Turbat or Karachi for treatment but necessitous people can’t afford to go to Kech’s hospital or Karachi for treatment.

Most importantly, it is the constitutional rights of every citizen to get health facilities at their door step but the departments and the government is not only violating the constitutional rights but also infringing the human rights bestowed in the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973.

The people of Dasht Balnagwar are not only deprived of health facilities but also education, qualified teachers, pure drinking water and electricity; in addition, the government is not serious for resolving Dasht Balnagwar issues.

I request to the Health Minster and concerned authorities to stop the salary of the doctors who are absent from the duty and give facilities to Dasht’s hospital.

Poetry: I quit!!

Poet: Sana Samad

The pain inside me,

Burns me each day,

Teases me for thy support,

But!

I am grabbed by the fear,

Weakening me each day,

Ceases me,

To step ahead for thy support!

Once,

Thinking to quit everything,

In which,

I am failed to beget changes,

Failed to take your hands,

Just wish to quit,

Killing the waves of confusion,

Surrounding in my mind!

Letter: Street begging

Author: Hammal Naseer (Turbat)

Street begging is a very common problem for our society. Healthy and even stronger men and women come to the streets for begging. The people disturb the daily activities by knocking and ringing bells by them while someone is resting. If they are refused, they started cursing. These type of beggars are always involved in criminal activities like theft, robbery, kidnapping and drug-pushing. Steps must be taken on the individuals, social and government level to eradicate this evil from the society. For the sake of elimination of beggary, Zakat must be given to old and disable ones.

Letter: Shortage of teachers in Balnigwar

Author: Imran Sattar Nigwari (Balnigwar)

Government Boys High School Balnigwar is the only high school of Balnigwar ( a town), Balochistan. It is a school where so many students from different villages in the surrounding area like Jath, Darchko, Seachi, Karpapar and go to brighten their future.

Owing to lack of teachers the students are facing many problems and their future is at stake and in trouble.

According to the students, out of 21 teachers and lecturers only nine are fulfilling their duties and are present. They have brought some temporary teachers due to absence of the permanent teachers. Yet the permanent teachers are not seen in the classes and are only taking their salaries.

How can students be the builders of a nation without any teachers and education?

It is my plea to the government of Balochistan to take serious actions regarding the issue.

Letter: Poverty kills children’s future

Author: Shehzad Sakim (Karki)

There are many reasons that children are out of school including poverty which is the biggest factor. Education was costly enough before but inflation has made studying even more difficult, especially for those who belong to poor families, and they want to get higher education. In University fees RS 13000 between RS 20000 for one semester. The University of Turbat announced that for the education department RS 13000 is the semester fees. So education is very expensive, the poor people are unable to get higher education. The education minister should take a sensitive role in this issue.

Article: Balochistan’s schools need facilities

Author: Hammal Zahid

Education is the basic need of every citizen of Pakistan. Furthermore, Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan but it suffers very badly from educational facilities. Balochistan schools have lack of proper buildings, facilities, wall chalks are used instead of markers, and also water is an issue for many rural schools. We all know that water is very important for health and we must drink 8 glasses of water in a day but in rural areas, schools are without water. The rural students sit under the sun to get education. It is because the government less attention to the rural schools.

On the other hand, they cannot send their children to the cities for two reasons which they are facing. First, they are poor and second, they cannot afford to get money. In the villages, the students even do not get good teachers. Because most of the teachers are absent and the teachers who are uneducated and also ghosts teacher.

Due to poor education system, the poor students are compelled to quit their education and work with their families to support them financially. Most of the other schools do not have toilets facilities.

According to report by Alif Ailan, in Balochistan there are more than 5000 teachers who are called ghosts teachers. As they have strong bonds with the authorities, they are never fired.

The concerned authorities haven’t visited to schools. On the other hand, most schools in Balochistan have no libraries. It results in wasting of time with unnecessary things and its stuff for the students and where they get knowledge but the areas are without libraries and they never build such things which give them benefits
Finally, I request to the government of Balochistan to take actions against the education system of Balochistan with the required facilities as soon as possible.

Letter: Road accidents in Balochistan

Author: M. Ameen (Awaran)

The most populated and largest province of Pakistan is Balochistan that is suffering from a serious road accidents. The death from road accidents is not lesser than a deadly pandemic as the road accidents have almost 80% chances of death. According to MERC, last month, almost 997 accidents were recorded in Balochistan, causing 1389 injuries, while 126 deaths.

However, there is increase in the numbers of road accidents across the province. Several women and children were included in the deaths and injuries of road accidents. Mostly, district Lasbela and Hub are highly affected areas where number of cases are coming from road accidents.

I request the government of Balochistan to construct double highways due to that may road accidents decrease and number of measures must be undertaken against over speed of drivers in the cities.
